And sadly, the last day of this enriching experience arrives. We begin the day by signing Erasmus documents in a meeting with our close friends Bürak and Mehmet.  But this adventure doesn't end here. On our way back, we visit iconic places like Tuz Golu, the salt lake, and the mausoleum of Atatürk, a pivotal figure in Turkish history.  During this week, our relationship with the students has grown, and we have felt part of their lives.  The hardest thing is saying goodbye to people who have welcomed us with open arms. We are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and affection shown by the Turkish teachers and families toward our students. We are returning with our suitcases full of unforgettable moments, learning experiences, laughter, and lifelong friends. But we know it's not goodbye; Aksaray and La Puebla del Río will reunite in the future to continue living and learning together. Let’s pray that they build an airport in the city during this time or we'll die trying...

Us, Erasmus students, woke up at the house of students who welcomed us, and we went to Abdulhamid Han Fen Lisesi highschool where we enjoyed their Spring Festival with the other students of the centre, playing various games and participating in some activities. .  After the festival, the high school gave us lunch which we enjoyed with the Turkish students, spending time together.   Later, we arrived at Necmiye - Mehmet Yacizi Kiz Mesleki Ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi girls-only highschool, where we learned to cook typical Turkish dishes, which we then tasted. And to say goodbye, they performed a Turkish folk dance and invited us to join them. In the end we had some free time the rest of the day, where some of us met to eat dinner and to finish some purchases with some of the Turkish students, to finally have an emotional farewell.   In conclusion, it was a slightly less busy but equally memorable day thanks to the Turkish students who accompanied us. -------------------...

Aksaray Diary – 21/05/2025 by Yolanda Soriano and Gema Galbarro We, Erasmus students, woke up and had breakfast early. We went to Abdulhamid Han Fen Lisesi high school and then headed to Cappadocia, where we visited Saratli, an underground city, and the Uchisar Castle. These were historical and very interesting places. Between visits, we went to a restaurant for lunch where there was a buffet. We tried different foods and desserts—it was an incredible experience. After eating, we went to a park where we enjoyed views of the river. Then we went to Avanos, a pottery village where we were taught how to make vases and other items. We also had the chance to buy souvenirs and gifts to take home. The last place we visited was the Goreme Open Air Museum, an ideal place for history lovers. Finally, we returned to the school where we had left our luggage earlier, and then we went to stay with our host families. Some of us changed students, while others stayed with the same companions. In conclus...

We, Erasmus students, woke up and had breakfast early to go visit the Abdulhamid Han Fen Lisesi school. This center offered us a wonderful music classroom, a technology room, and a fantastic sports hall with volleyball, basketball, and football courts. After the students from both countries gave our presentations, the wonderful Erasmus team from the Turkish school invited us to a lunch at a typical local restaurant. Later, some of the teachers and students from our assigned center, along with us, went to the Ihlara Valley, which offered spectacular views. Afterwards, we took a bus to visit the Selime Cathedral. Finally, we returned to the hotel to collect our suitcases before going to our respective host families. Once at their homes, everyone was very kind. Some families cooked dinner for us, while others invited us to dine at restaurants. Everything was delicious and they welcomed us warmly. In conclusion, we were impressed by the hospitality and how warm and kind the people in...
