Journal of Aksaray: Day 3 21-05-2025

We, Erasmus students, woke up and had breakfast early. We went to Abdulhamid Han Fen Lisesi high school and then headed to Cappadocia, where we visited Saratli, an underground city, and the Uchisar Castle. These were historical and very interesting places.

Between visits, we went to a restaurant for lunch where there was a buffet. We tried different foods and desserts—it was an incredible experience.

After eating, we went to a park where we enjoyed views of the river. Then we went to Avanos, a pottery village where we were taught how to make vases and other items. We also had the chance to buy souvenirs and gifts to take home. The last place we visited was the Goreme Open Air Museum, an ideal place for history lovers.

Finally, we returned to the school where we had left our luggage earlier, and then we went to stay with our host families. Some of us changed students, while others stayed with the same companions.

In conclusion, the experience of living with Turkish students has been truly amazing and unique, and today’s visits have been very educational and meaningful.

Los estudiantes Erasmus nos levantamos y desayunamos temprano, fuimos al instituto Abdulhamid Han Fen Lisesi y nos fuimos de camino a Capadocia, donde pudimos visitar Saratli, una ciudad subterránea, y en el castillo de Uchisar. Eran sitios históricos y muy interesantes.

 Entre visita y visita, fuimos a un restaurante a almorzar donde había un buffet libre. Probamos diferentes comidas y postres, fue una experiencia increíble.

Cuando terminamos de comer, fuimos a un parque, en el que pudimos disfrutar de las vistas del río, después fuimos a Avanos, un pueblo alfarero donde nos enseñaron a realizar vasijas y otras cosas, además allí pudimos comprar recuerdos y regalos para casa. Lo último que visitamos fue el museo al aire libre de Goreme, un lugar ideal para los amantes de la historia.

Finalmente, volvimos al instituto donde dejamos en un principio las maletas, y nos fuimos con las familias, algunos de nosotros cambiamos de alumnos y otros siguieron con los mismos compañeros. 

En conclusión, la experiencia de vivir con alumnos turcos ha sido totalmente increíble y única, y las visitas del día de hoy han sido muy educativas y necesarias.
